We have recently produced hanko in both block and brush fonts and I think it is personal preference which you choose.
The block font is the "standard" but where clubs use a brush style font for their names and logo they also choose to adopt this style for their stamps.
For comparison The Kaigun Karate Dojo stamp is in the block font and Seishin Karate in the Brush font.
